My Ball Joint Dolls - The Orient Doll So Girl with Ye Head

The Orient Doll So Girl with Ye Head

Arrival

Her shipping box is tiny and weightless. I shake it a little and hear something moving around. I open it and see the little red box wrapped in bubblewrap. No packing peanuts - not even korean newspaper. The red box is pretty - almost like I got new checks - lots of asian writing imprinted upon it.

Open box to reveal little cloth wrapper in bubblewrap. I opened one end to reveal little feet peeking out the botton of the cloth. Open those 2 layers to reveal pleasant resin smell and little person. They put her head on and she is fully assembled.

Biggest hook I've ever seen in a tiny head. Her headcap is held on with 2 magnets which do not fall out but her headcap will need some tape to secure it more properly. She is fully sanded except for one spot on the side of one of her feet. Her eyes have some resin remnants which a little finger scraping easily removes.

She has much more character than I was planning to see - the smile helps. She poses great though no one mentioned the difficulty in her hands - I pull one out a little and discover a huge knot - wedged in her arm. I replace the string holding both hands to her elastics with some size 20 crochet cotton I happened to have with me.

My first Kelly dress and booties fit her perfect. Tommy shoes also fit really well. I'm waiting for her wig to arrive and hopefully some time to do her face. What the outfit looks like on a Kelly.

Wow - My Nari-pon outfit fits. Pury's default wig is equally awful on So Ye but is very cute with the headbank. What the outfit looks like on Kelly.
